Methylene Blue is in Alzheimer's/Dementia Research!
Methylene Blue is an FDA approved drug, (however not specifically approved for Alzheimer's or dementia). This blue dye is offering hope for people with dementia.
If you research the latest articles on Pubmed.gov, and a few other journals, you'll see that scientists are studying it's effects on Alzheimer's. It appears to have beneficial effects in strengthening the supporting structures of memory paths. Research is still ongoing and long-term effects are not known.
Testimonials support improvement and overall brain support. The research is exciting and promising. One of our former staff members (Ms. Carrie who is now 89 years old) has Alzheimer's Disease and has used this for almost a year. Her memory has improved dramatically. Her quality of life has improved dramatically. She still has memory issues, but is not having trouble recognizing family members like she used to and is not having negative moods like she used to.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3087269/ -Methylene blue, an inhibitor of nitric oxide synthase and guanylate cyclase has many uses in medicine. It has been found to improve the hypotension associated with various clinical states. It also improves hypoxia and hyper dynamic circulation in cirrhosis of liver and severe hepatopulmonary syndrome. It also results in transient and reproducible improvement in blood pressure and cardiac function in septic shock.
-->READ THIS ONE --> https://www.cfspharmacy.pharmacy/blog/post/the-many-clinical-uses-of-methylene-blue -Methylene blue can improve Alzheimer`s symptoms by a combination of diverse functions. The pathological effects of Alzheimer`s include amyloid plaques(aggregates of the amyloid protein in the gray matter of the brain) and neurofibrillary tangles. Neurofibrillary tangles are caused by the accumulation of a protein called Tau inside nerve cells in the brain. Clinical symptoms of Alzheimer’s are more correlated with Tau protein than with amyloid plaques. Methylene blue can decrease tau formation through its effect on mitochondria which should improve and/or delay clinical symptoms of Alzheimer`s disease.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK557593/ - Methylene blue is a medication used in the management and treatment of methemoglobinemia, a condition in which hemoglobin decreases its ability to carry oxygen.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3087269/ - Methylene blue is contraindicated in patients who have developed hypersensitivity reactions to it and in severe renal insufficiency. It is relatively contraindicated in G6PD deficient patients as it can cause severe hemolysis and also in patients with Heinz body anemia.18,43 Methylene blue is a MAO inhibitor and therefore can interact with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) and MAO inhibitors to cause serious serotonin toxicity.42,43
WARNINGS AND THINGS TO BE AWARE OF:
You will need to discuss using this with your doctor, as Methylene Blue has rare but known interactions with some medicines and medical conditions that could be dangerous. A severe and sometimes deadly problem called serotonin syndrome may happen. The risk may be greater if you also take certain other drugs. Call your doctor right away if you have agitation, change in balance, confusion, hallucinations, fever, fast or abnormal heartbeat, flushing, muscle twitching or stiffness, seizures, shivering or shaking, sweating a lot, severe diarrhea, upset stomach, or throwing up; or very bad headache. Talk with your doctor if you take any drugs (prescription or OTC, natural products, vitamins) that must not be taken with methylene blue, like certain drugs that are used for low mood (depression), other mental or mood problems, or migraine headaches. There are many drugs that must not be taken with methylene blue or for some time before methylene blue is started. Ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Click on the image to watch a video testimony of how Methylene Blue helped this researcher's mother. Be sure to watch the whole thing as it discusses the research and some of the situations in which Methylene Blue could be harmful or fatal (rare but definitely possible). We are excited to share this research and acknowledge it as some of the newest research out there for the category of Alzheimer's and Dementia. There is still more research to be done but Methylene Blue is available over the counter and is being used by many people to improve memory in the brain. Taking this product is at your own risk. Please consult with your physician first. Nothing said in this video is approved or recognized by the FDA.
