Try this new offering from Bountiful Pantry! Apple & Spice Rice Pudding.
It is gluten free and no salt is added. It has only natural ingredients: Arborio Rice, Apples, Raisins, Brown Sugar, Sugar and Cinnamon in it.
Additional ingredients needed: 3 C Apple Cider and optional 1/2" x 2" lemon peel. Directions: 1. Bring 2 C water and the cider to a boil. Add rice (do not rinse). Add packets of apples/raisins & sugar/spice. Stir. Return to a boil. Lower heat to simmer and cook for 20 minutes stirring occasionally until rice is tender. Remove optional lemon peel. 2. If desired, add 1/2 tsp sea salt. Stir. Option: For richer pudding, stir in 2 tbsp of butter until dissolved. Pour into serving bowl. Pudding thickens as it cools. 3. Spoon into individual serving dishes. Dust with cinnamon. Chill or serve at room temperature. Other suggestions: Just before serving top with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, chopped nuts or drizzle with maple syrup. 12.1oz/344 g
